Hey Everyone, I haven't done a post in a while, so here's a whole bunch of posts of everywhere that we've been!

It’s the day. We’re leaving Canada to go to South Africa. We have many stops along the way though, which is good. We’re first going to Manchester, England, to see our family there. Then we’re going to a GORGEOUS apartment in Santorini, Greece. After Greece, we’re meeting up with Carissa Vandenhooven (one of Erin’s BEST friends) in Cairo, Egypt. After that, we’re going to Masaka to Eagles Wings Children’s Village (HEY! The initials are Erin Wiebe Carissa Vandenhooven! Weird, huh?). Doesn’t that sound like an AMAZING trip? Well it is, but I’m VERY sad to leave all my friends, especially Mattias Peters and Michael Schellenberg. (Along with Caleb Ogden, Keanan Witzel, James Hellner, Steven Chifan and Aidan Moore

The airport was pretty fun at first. We went to Starbucks (the last Starbucks for a LONG time no doubt). Then I found a dollar! It was pretty cool. I left Mattias with a mini coke bottle I had bought. With the goodbye’s it was VERY SAADDD. Mattias insisted that we shouldn’t say good-bye or hug until I absolutely had to go. I agreed. After I had hugged everybody, I said goodbye to Mattias last. I gave him the dollar, and he promised not to spend it. I hadn’t started crying then, but as soon as we walked through the gate, I did start. I was bawling by the time we got to security. I left my AWESOME pocketknife in my backpack, the pocketknife that I had received for Christmas four and a half years ago and the guard confiscated it and threw it away. I didn’t give him eye contact for the rest of security. I know he was just doing his job, but I was sad already, so take away my pocketknife? :P.

We went on the plane for a ten and a half hour plane ride to London, Heathrow. It was alright though, because we left late, and we got individual TV screens on every seat so that was good. I eventually fell asleep. When I woke up, it was an hour until we landed. I wouldn’t be in Canada for three years. This was the first step in our journey. When we arrived in London, we had a two-hour layover until our next fifty-minute flight to Manchester. We got some pop to “tide us over” until the flight. After the 50-minute flight, everyone swarmed us at the airport. It was great to see all of our family again. We rented a car to use, and we went to our Grandma’s friend’s house.  It was wonderful. Everything that we needed. My mums whole family came over for a while and we had something to eat. Everybody just hung out  until it was evening. Then they all went home. Some more of our cousins came over that evening, but only a couple. That was the first day.

For the next few days, I went over to my cousin Kyle’s house and I was just starting to get interested in magic. He taught me a few card tricks, and I practiced them A LOT. My cousin Ben also came over and I showed him a lot of the tricks that I learned from Kyle. He thought they were cool. I even showed him how to do a couple of them. The next day we all went over to Kyle’s house for Indian food. It was GREAT.  Kyle and I played on the Wii and he showed me even more card tricks. The next day we went to Little Moreton Hall, which was REALLY cool, because it’s oldest Tudor house in all of Europe. I got a little keychain that says Little Moreton Hall in the middle. I also got a ring. That night I went down to Kyle’s house and watched “the X factor” which was a British singing show. We had an AMAZING dinner of meat, potatoes and carrots. After that we went upstairs and played more Wii. When we were done with the Wii, we watched a movie with Lissy (her real name is Alicea, and she is Kyle's sister.) We both went on Facebook and commented on each other’s profiles and eventually fell asleep, and I had a sleepover. The next day, we went to the market, which was really fun. I went to Kyle’s soccer game, and he scored from half! Afterwards we went back home for lunch and then we went for family pictures in the park. We played on the playground (which was WAY better than Canadian playgrounds). We had to go the next day, which was VERY sad.

Everyone was excited, because we were heading to Santorini, Greece next. We got up at 4:30 in the morning, and my Grandma (we all call her Gran-Gran) drove us to the airport. It was really sad to leave her. :(

I will continue with my round the world adventures as soon as I can get access to the internet. (I may be able to post pictures soon too)

Rivendell 2009 Journal

Hey Everybody, this is just my Journal that I'm keeping while we're here in Rivendell. This is EXACTLY what I put in my journal, word for word. Hope this keeps you interested!

Day 1: We went on two walks today. The first one we went on we saw nine deer! (i spotted them all :) ) The second one we only saw two deer, but this time we had a camera and we got tons of pictures of the leader of the herd!!! Then we followed it around for a bit and eventually came back to our cabin. The first time, we were only about five feet away from a baby and it's mother when the baby's dad stomped his foot to threaten us. We quickly walked back to the cabin. I had two quiet times, and in both of them God gave me pictures, which I'm going to share with my family tonight. I already showed them to my Dad though, just to see what he would think. Alright bye!

Day 2: We went on another walk today. We saw no deer, but it was a LONG walk. We also built an alter out of rocks to praise God. After that we explored and found another path that we're probably going to explore some other day. We also prayed, and I found the perfect spot for my quiet time. Later on I went to that spot, and God told me some pretty cool stuff. After that we played games, and we went to a beach that had tons of rocks, and I explored the whole beach while I was climbing the rocks and looking for Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones) because he lives here on Bowen Island. We also might have seen his house.
Anyways I have to go, so bye!

Day 3: We stayed inside for a while, cause it was raining really hard. We played lots of games, and then we went to a bookstore where Erin bought me bouncing putty, and really junky 50 cent toy, and a really fun rocket. Then we went to the movie store and got a DVD called "Flawless". We also went to a Cafe and I got a hot chocolate and a huge double chocolate cookie. After that, we went a chocolate shop called "The Chocolatier", where I got a REALLY nice chocolate that was shaped like a domino, and I bought an organic chocolate bar for my health-nut friend. We then spent a TON of time playing with my rocket, until my little bro (Moses) broke it. We watched a couple of Moses and Ayana's little kid's shows, and then they went to bed. Me and my dad built a fire (while we were building it I drank 3 mugs of hot chocolate), and then we watched Flawless. After the movie I went to bed, and my Dad did my devotional with me. After my Dad left, I played on my iPod for around ten minutes and then I fell asleep. That's all for today. Bye!

Thanks for reading my first post (WOO HOO!) and I'll make sure to post some more (I still have one more entry to do), so keep on visiting! Thanks, Joshua
